Back from the writers conference!
(Terrible photo as proof that I not only attended, but remembered to eat during the excitement)
Was really a wonderful time at the conference that flew by and ended too soon.
Pros:
- Great workshops/discussions with writers, agents, booksellers giving out their pearls of wisdom and making us all better for it.
- Had a chance to pitch two different projects to agents and got some nibbles.
- Outstanding fellowship with other writers and just amazing humans all working on getting stories out of their heads and onto pages.
Cons:
- I had to go back to my day job...
- Successful pitches = editing and more work!
- Realized it was really really, actually time to get a proper online platform for my writing established and going.
So back into the salt mines I go, but hopefully a few solid queries will be forthcoming, and I'll get back into the saddle on the current WIP. If you've lasted this long come back soon and I'll talk about that WIP and the different process I'm taking with it as I work with another author to craft a Sci-fi adventure for you all.
