About
Kurt is a lifelong fan of good stories. There wasn't a ton to do growing up in the back country of Colorado, Wyoming, and Texas, so books and television served as his window into the world of the imagination. He grew up watching Star Trek, the X-Files, and the original and arguably terrible Battlestar Galactica. He loved it all, and with colored crayons penned his own episodes of Trek which he would then force, typos and all on his visiting family members. He started writing a little more seriously while he was in college studying Psychology and really never stopped.
His early works--Science Fiction with Tolkien level rambling exposition and a plot as thin as a Waffle house square of toilet paper--shall never see the light of day.
Publishing waited while he served a little 20 year stint in the U.S. Navy, and collected a few more educational credits, but that time is drawing to a close and he's actively working on getting some of his library of drafted novels out into the world.
He currently lives with his husband Richard in Washington D.C. where they undertake a never-ending cycle of adding to their 'To-Read' piles, and their Warhammer plastic piles of shame.
While he fancies himself a Science Fiction writer... he seems determined to write just about everything but the epic that he's been dreaming about since he was knee high to a Cylon.
He dabble with:
- Thrillers
- Cozy LGBTQI+ realism
- Comedy
- Coming Of Age
- Paranormal Western
And he very much hopes that you'll pick up a copy of a book, or at least join him on the mailing list or socials as he documents the twists and turns of taking his ideas all the way to the bookshelf.
